Alex & Meagan Paint Please

I loved talking these photographs as I watched two people let loose and enjoy each other like they were kids all over again! Always remember you are not too young to take time to live, laugh and enjoy the people you love.

Adam & Kim

Last weekend I had the honor of going up to Ohio and spending the weekend with my cousin Kim. It was her wedding weekend and it was filled with fun & exciting events. I captured a few fun moments in the process of just enjoying being a cousin. It was truly a gift and pleasure to be apart of this weekend. Live it up in St. Lucia!

Josh & Emily

Josh and Emily will be getting married this August. I have known Emily through college and a ministry named YoungLife. She has been a sweet friend with a tender soul that longs for the Lord. Josh is the absolutely the man of her dreams and I cannot imagine anyone else more perfect for her. These two together made me laugh the whole entire time we were taking pictures, but we were also able to have sweet conversation. I cannot wait to spend more time with this beautiful couple and take some pictures of their big day! Congrats y'all! Let the good time roll!

John & Laura Ashley

John and Laura Ashley are a couple that I have been working with for a few months now. I first meet Laura Ashley when we worked together at a Murfreesboro City School. I was thrilled when she asked me to take some picture of her and John so she could have things to hang in their new place. This then lead to me taking some maternity pictures for her before her precious baby boy Johnny came into the world.

A Leap of Faith

To "leap" means to move or act quickly or suddenly. When I think about leaping into something I quickly remember one of my favorite movies Superstar staring Molly Shannon. There is a scene in the first ten minuets where she is explaining how you can jump into a pool. She explains in great detail that some people can go into the pool slowly, dipping in their toe first then gradually moving down the latter until they are submerged into the pool. Yet there is another way, which she prefers, to where you run full force into the pool and get submerged from the very instant you hit the water. She "leaps" into the pool, not looking back, full force, completely submerged. That is what I have decided to do with my life. I am leaping full force into something that I have no idea if it will come out to be anything. However, I cannot help but wonder if it could be one of the greatest adventures and blessings of my life.

Simply Yours Wedding by Emily Humphries

I have a passion for people that I have only recently discovered in the last six years. It all started when I was a freshman in college and I had decided to become a YoungLife Leader in Murfreesboro, TN. I say, "I decided" but really God had put something in me that I couldn't yet put into words. I knew I needed to be about something more than myself, and that I had discovered that a passionate fire was beginning to catch flame in my heart for lost high school students. In the spring of 2006 I was placed at Riverdale High School where I would eventually meet hundreds of high schools girls and get the blessing of walking through life with them. I tell you this because this is only where my adventure started. I began to see people in a new light and then the world in a new light. I soon wanted to capture moments in time that were only given to us once in a lifetime. Smiles, sunsets, nature, birthdays, and soon weddings.

In the last six months I have felt God pushing me to a new place in life. Not only to have a passion for people but to capture their hearts. Thus, I sit here starting my first attempts at my own photography business. There have been many people in my life including my husband, friends, and family pushing me to this place for a long time. Yet, until I found enough courage within myself I couldn't do it. However, I have found courage, strength, and confidence through my photography.

Pictures are a way to capture a moment in time. A frozen memory of a season of life that may never be the same. I am so excited to start this new season of my life because I know that from now on my life will not be the same. I hope you enjoy following me through this new season, because I am excited to share it with you!

Happy Monday!
